I've been reading about using fittings instead of brazing with nitrogen. Something like a rectorseal pro fit, or maybe a sharkbite ( I believe they make refrigerant fittings now)
Seems like a much easier way to connect the freon lines. Especially when replacing a coil.
Thoughts on this ? Just because brazing has been the standard, maybe this is the new way to go ?

Hey Ron I feel the same. The fitter that had to replace my coax this year was able to resolder everything back together, but it looks like hell and looks botched up, but at least works. Seems to me it all comes down to craftsmanship or speed. If I could braze, ill bet it is harder than what it looks, I would have fixed my own. But with the cut, remove put on coupler then press start, done recharge!
